When Janet's parents found out about her relationship with Mark, they were very upset. They felt that Janet's dishonesty was a clear manifestation of disrespect. Janet tried to apologize several times, but every time she would, her parents would refuse to listen to her. They won't even look at her anymore. It was clear to Janet that she has really disappointed them. But despite the pain she feels now, Janet still believes that Mark is all worth it. He is worth it not because he is paid a great deal for his services as golf psychologist but because he is a good man, first and foremost. Upon knowing all the trouble that Janet has been through, Mark feels guilty thinking that if he did not enter the picture everything would be perfectly well between Janet and her parents. But Janet tells him how much she loves him and that she's willing to fight for their love for as long as Mark does the same thing. In the end, the couple succeeded because now Janet's parents have finally learned to accept Mark to the family.
