One Task Down A Hundred More to Go?

I had my annual physical exam today. It took me around 3 hours to finish it. I submitted my urine and blood sample. I had a session with the doctor and had my annual flu vaccine shot and man, my left arm hurts. It hurts and it's a little numb. But at least I had set one task aside. Now I can concentrate on my tasks in the office. Am still half way through my weekly task and my performance coaching hasn't budge even for an inch. It's going to be a long week so I am really looking forward to my vacation leave this Sunday. It's not that I am going anywhere but I just feel that I am tired and a vacation is very much in order. If only I can cancel my appointment with a friend who is having canon printer problems. But I really feel bad about not helping out as it could help my friend save money. Getting professional help is never cheap so getting a friend to help troubleshoot an issue with a gadget will definitely be appreciated.

The Mirc First Used For The Chatting

The first internet chatting service was given by MIRC later on the hotmail and yahoo messengers were developed. The MIRC does not require any account for the chatting purpose it just requires the nickname before entering into any channel. The people who are used to it cannot live without it. Some years ago people also used the hotmail chat rooms for chatting but they are not available now and people mostly go to the yahoo chat rooms but many people will send you the links or viruses if you go the chat rooms. I usually use the Gmail ID for chatting purpose as it is safe from such viruses and porn links sent by different people. I have too a hotmail account but I think i forgot my alternate email address for hotmail that was given on the application form to activate my address. Gmail and skype is used by the professionals as it gives more features and it is free from the unwanted links sent by people. The best feature of skype is that you can also share you screen with your friends.

Dreaming of a More Modernist Look for my Home

The home I live in was built back in the late 70's and has a typical gabled roof and is sheathed in texture-111 siding. You've likely seen this type of siding on utility sheds and garages. It works. It holds up well to the weather but, it just does not have much style. I want something that looks more 'Modernist'. And by that term I mean the type of building that we all see in fancy shelter magazines clean square and simple lines, flat or single pitched(shed) roofs and lots of glass. My plan is simple for this goal. I will extend one side of the gabled roof and create a flat shed style roof which, instead of shingles, will be clad in standing seam metal roofing with a silver color. The exterior walls of the house will be sealed and covered with large panel sheets of galvanized steel. All of the glazing(windows) will be replaced with ones that are rectangular and fit between the studs of the house so that no headers need to be built and more window space is created. I know the changes I require will involve skilled workers using tools like masonry saws and whatnot, and it will not be cheap. But it will be worth it. When this is all done the 'cheap' looking ranch style home will, instead, look like a sleek and modern dwelling.

Finding Peace in an Active Camping Trip

You may find this hard to believe, but a great place to find peace is in a busy camping trip. How is that possible? Well, if you have ever been camping you know how hectic that can be, but the reason people don’t find peace in it is because they don’t take see God in it. The last camping vacation I took was one that was not filled with a lot of activities that the campground or the surrounding area had to offer. I was camping by myself which could be thought of as boring. But this is how the first day went for me, which lasted throughout the trip, and proved to be the best vacation I have ever taken. I set up the tent and the camping stuff that I brought, and then just sat down for a moment to look at the area. I felt good. I looked around at the lake and the trees and the sky and just marveled at how great it was to be there in the middle of it all. Very peaceful. Then it was time for dinner, so I got busy fixing the fire and getting the food ready. It may sound like work, but I was really enjoying it as I listened to some great music while I did it. The dinner was great and then as the sun was beginning to set, I again was brought to a peaceful place watching the dazzling colors - reds and yellows, with a blue sky and white clouds - change over time. A calming peace drifted in over me. I got out my dulcimer, and there in front of the fire, played and sang some songs of praise. As I laid down in my sleeping bag that night, I just thanked God for showing me the real beauty in his creation. I spent two more days finding that beauty in everything I did - kayaking, hiking, and bicycling, and going on long walks in Derbyshire. Although it was filled with activity I found peace in everything I did by taking the time to reflect on what I was doing and everything around me. By the time I packed up to go home, I was more rested in mind, body, and spirit than I have ever been before. That, my friends, is peace.

A Late Father's Promise to His Youngest Daughter

My father once told me that he dreams of buying a laptop for me in the future. I knew that he wasn't lying. I knew that my dad remained true to his word. But then he got sick and I forgot about the promise since it didn't matter to me anymore. Though we had high hopes that he would get well, he eventually gave up and he died. I thought that it was all going to be a dream. I wouldn't know how to connect midi keyboard to computer. He bought this midi keyboard a year before he died. He told me, You are going to use this when you already have a laptop of your own.This would help in protecting and preserving your original keyboard. Understand? Now that my sister fulfilled my father's promise for me, I now use the keyboard whenever I use the laptop to make my assignments and articles that I need to submit. Dad was really true to his word. I feel that he'll be happy to see that I'm using what he gave me the way that he wanted me to.

It is nice to know that in this day and age, true love still exists. Take the case of Yvonne and Albert for instance. Who would have thought that they would still end up together after everything that happened? They fell in love when they were both very young. Circumstances made it impossible for them to stay together back then. They never heard from each other for many years. Yvonne got married to Victor and had a child. Albert had a long relationship with a girl from college but they broke up. Many years later, Yvonne and Albert would see each other again in Korea. Citibank Front Line Desk Officer Receives the Boot

Citibank, the worlds largest banking institution yesterday booted one of their customer care representative after receiving complaints on the representative's telephone etiquette. The consumer direct her complaints to the CEO through uploading their supposed conversation in YouTube. The sensationalized video (which is only text that is scrolling up) shoots to number one most viewed in just a matter of a day. The video shows how the representative, told the consumer to return the item that they bought from an online store. Citibank will not be able to reverse the purchases made since it is up to the merchant to void the copy and call Citibank for confirmation of the transaction and Citibank will call both parties to confirm in a three-way conversation. The consumer claimed that they have the right to void the transaction. The representative, obviously being fed up (after 30 minutes of conversing with the consumer) told the lady to shove the product up their ass and hang up the phone. Citibank officers told reporters that the conversation was through although there are some lapses but the idea is still there. They have removed the errant representative and promise to train their customer care more tightly to prevent the incident from happening again.

When George decided to get married, he did not have a job. He knew that if he waited a few more years, he would loose out in his lady love. His family did not like his idea at all. They tried to make him change his mind but soon realized that their efforts were futile. There was simply no way that they could stop him when his mind was made up. Some supported him half heartedly, waiting something to go wrong so that they could blame it on him. When he started working, the money was not enough for his growing family. First Step the Window, Next Step: Everything

I would love to completely renovate my kitchen, much to the chagrin of my husband! I inherited my home from my grandparents and I have so many fond memories here. They updated the kitchen somewhere around 1968 and other than the "peel and stick tile" floor (added by my father in the early '1990's), it remains the same! And of course new appliances through the years. Although I am attached to it sentimentally, it does need an updating! I've updated nearly every other room in the house, little by little. I can just picture new cabinets and lighting, granite countertops, beautiful stainless steel appliances, solid oak drawer sideboards and slate tile flooring. Two months ago we used our tax refund money to have a new bay window put in the kitchen. I would use the window as the visual centerpiece or the "focal point" of the room. My husband and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen - it's the hub of our home! Because of this the time and effort would be worthwhile . . . and I KNOW I could do it on a budget, and we have the tools AND contacts since we have two friends in the construction industry.

Uneven Floors Need Changing in My House

I love my little home, and I love deocrating it with all kinds of things. Recently I added new lemon-coloured curtains that are drawn closed with self-adhesive velcro - a perfect addition to my living room.

However, all is not perfect. My home has very uneven, poorly done linoleum floors. My dream would be to have cherry wood floors. I love the look and feel of cherry wood. Honestly though, I'd take any wooden floors over what I have now. To me, the look of wooden floors gives a home a crisp look and feel to it, especially when paired with nice furniture. I used to have wooden floors in one of my homes as a child and I just loved the sound of someone walking on wooden floors. I guess it gave me a sense of security because I was able to know when someone was in the house, except I did get a little scared at night. Along with doing my floors over I'd like to reseal the the bottoms of the walls, the don't seem to have been sealed properly and they let in the cold air during the winter months. But, the floors are definitely my top priority.

I love jewellery, and even making my own jewellery with my jewellery making supplies. It is one of my most important accessories. I can not leave the home unless I am wearing a lot of jewellery. I strongly believe in capitalizing on myself and tend to find jewerllery makes me look a million dollars. Only if it is carefully selected. I must admit I seem to buying a new piece eack week. Usually it is either a ring or earings. I love bling and it must look quite flamboyant. At times I find I am delibarating over rings as I want the perfect looking one at a reasonable price. I tend to buy a lot of jewellery online as there is a huge array to choose from. My favorite ring is the one I received for my Birthday last year. It is comprised of white gold and has real diamonds. I usually wear it with my diamond necklace when I go to clubs and bars. At times I am a little worried as I am concerned I am going to lose the ring. It would make me quite miserable if I did lose it as it is irreplaceable. Would take me decades to save up for a diamond ring.

As I look at Pauline now, who happens to be making carrot juice for me, I can't help but thank God for giving me such a wonderful sister like her. Ever since I got sick, Pauline never left my side.
